Nutrition is one of the most powerful tools in chronic disease management — yet clear, structured education for pet owners has remained largely inaccessible.

Katherine Khoo is a certified pet nutritionist with a foundation built on over 12 years of clinical experience as a human nutritionist. Trained in Small Animal Natural Nutrition through the College of Integrative Veterinary Therapies (Australia), she brings a rigorous, evidence-based approach to animal health, translating complex nutrition science into practical, actionable guidance for pet owners.

Her work focuses on chronic disease management in dogs and cats, including conditions such as kidney disease, osteoarthritis, allergies, and pancreatitis. Beyond individual consultations, Katherine formulates diets for commercial brands and conducts educational workshops for pet owners and professionals alike.

Through Wisetroop, she aims to raise the standard of pet nutrition education, making specialised knowledge accessible to every pet owner who needs it.

Dual Qualification in Pet and Human Nutrition

Wisetroop's founder, Katherine Khoo, holds complete, independent qualifications in both pet and human nutrition, a combination that is rare in the field of therapeutic pet nutrition.

A Whole-Animal Approach

Every consultation and formulation begins with a thorough assessment of the whole animal — health history, living environment, physical activity, current medications, complementary therapies, and the owner's practical realities.

Evidence-Informed Practice

Every recommendation, formulation, and educational programme delivered by Wisetroop is grounded in established nutritional science, peer-reviewed research, and recognised regulatory standards, including AAFCO, FEDIAF, and NRC. Our work is guided by evidence.

Whole-Food Nutrition Philosophy

Wisetroop's approach is grounded in whole-food nutrition. Every ingredient and nutrient profile is selected with function in mind, and formulations are purposefully designed to support specific health outcomes, including anti-inflammatory dietary profiles where clinically indicated.

Accessible, Wherever You Are

All pet nutrition consultations are conducted virtually, making Wisetroop's services accessible to pet owners, veterinary professionals, and pet food manufacturers in Singapore and globally. Distance is not a barrier to accessing expert therapeutic nutrition support.

Founded by Someone Who Has Been There

Wisetroop was not founded in a classroom. It was founded in response to a deeply personal experience of navigating chronic disease in beloved pets. That experience shapes every aspect of how Wisetroop works, and it is the reason we approach every case with both clinical rigour and genuine empathy for the pet owner's journey.
